Want to enjoy the fresh mountain air and experience sleeping with natural surrounds but don't want to mess with the work of clearing a place, fighting with raising a tent and bringing all your supplies? This is not your normal primitive camping, this is  "glamping" aka "Yurting." This yurt, that we call Peekaboo, has carpet, electricity, heat, a real mattress, "windows", 15 feet in diameter and seating for five ( and not on the bed :) ). There's plenty of room inside to sit and relax with a few guests. Mosquito nets over all the windows and doors keep the pesky pests at bay. Raise the bottom half to create an even more open and close-to-nature experience. Approximately 65 yards away from the main cabin and with it's own firepit, picnic table and charcoal grill make this yurt perfect for an addition to the cabin stay or completely it's own experience. There is room for your friends too! 4 Primitive camping spots* beside the yurt allow for your group to expand. 75 acres to explore hiking, biking or leisurely walking. 7 Minute ride (ATV or Car) to Hatfield McCoy Ivy Branch Trail Head (opening Fall 2020), Water Ways Family Water Park, Little Coal River access and 25 minutes from downtown Charleston, WV.

More pictures and information to come!

*24 Hour notice is required to book.

First in the Yurt!

We booked the Farm for a long weekend with friends and about a week before our arrival, Adrienne let us know that they had added a Yurt to the property and that it would be blocked out in case we wanted to add it to our stay. We said "why not?", added the Yurt, and couldn't have been more pleased! I think the word people use here is "glamping" because this is like the 5-star hotel of tents - large bed, lots of blankets (thanks Adrienne for offering to bring more over on that chilly night!) room to hangout (or spread your bags), and a heater! Whether you book the Yurt on its own or with the cabin, you'll have a great time staying on this beautiful chunk of property! Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so glad you liked it. :)

Had a blast!

I had a blast! It was a cool experience - much like camping, but with a bed, heat and better protection from the weather. Owners were accommodating. I’d recommend it.
